One of the biggest events of Toastmasters International District 107, FALL SUMMIT Madrid 2023, is coming to Madrid. The host clubs, Nova and La Salle, have organized a great event. As the hosting group, we want to give you some tips for experiencing the city of Madrid outside of the event.

TABERNA LA COPLA
This traditional tavern, dating back to 1912, was once an old wine cellar, preserving its decor and adorning its walls with vintage photographs of copla singers.
This is a place for wine, beer, cocktails and tapas, seated or standing
We have chosen this meeting point to welcome our colleagues, where you can collect your credential if you wish.

Madrid has a network of metro, tram (light rail), Cercanía trains, urban buses, and interurban buses. There are also taxi services from different companies that complement the city’s public transportation system.
The event will take place at La Salle University Campus in Aravaca, Madrid.
How to get to the event using public transportation?
Currently, the Multi card for the Madrid metro offers a 50% discount on its packs of 10 trips, reducing the price to €6.10 for individual journeys. However, you must acquire the rechargeable card to benefit from this discount
The rechargeable card costs : 2,5€
Where can I buy it ?
You can purchase it at the automatic machines in any of the Metro stations in Madrid.
Attention: If you arrive by plane, you must purchase the «airport supplement» for €3, and it can be loaded onto your Multi card. Without this supplement, you won’t be able to access the station gates. You’ll also need to pay this supplement when re-entering the airport to catch your return flight.

Head to Metro Moncloa
Upon arriving to the metro station, make yourway to the interurban bus interchange.
Take bus 657 (green line) towards «Av. Monteclaro-Ctra. Majadahonda.»
Stop: La Salle-Escuela Universitaria
This stop is right at the entrance to the venue.

Head to Metro Moncloa
Upon arriving at the metro station, exit onto Calle de la Princesa and proceed to the bus stop in front of the Arcos de Moncloa. Here, you’ll take bus 162 (blue line) towards «El Barrial»
Stop: Blanca de Castilla

The Madrid taxi fleet consists of more than 15,000 vehicles, offering a quick and safe way to get around the city.
It also works ride-sharing app companies like UBER, CABIFY, BOLT, FREENOW among others.
For instance: the price for an UBER ride from the city center to the event location ranges from €10 to €15, depending on the day and time of service request.
You can also drive to the event, and there is free parking available outside the University.
